This is not an email address in use or maintained by anyone in Rotary District 6000.
Email spoofing is a technique used in spam and phishing attacks to trick users into thinking a message came from a person or entity they know or trust. In spoofing attacks, the sender forges email headers so that your email software displays the fraudulent sender address, which most users take at face value.
Opening phishing or spoofing scam emails can expose your personal and financial information to cyber criminals, leading to identity theft and financial losses. These deceptive emails often contain malicious links or attachments that can infect your device with malware, compromising your online security and privacy.
What you should do:
- To safeguard yourself and your data, always verify the sender's authenticity, refrain from clicking on suspicious links, and promptly delete any unsolicited emails requesting sensitive information or urgent actions.
- Delete these emails immediately and/or report them to your email service provider, IT department or any technical support you may have access to.
What you should NOT do:
- Open, reply or forward the email.
- Click on any links or open attachments included in these emails.
- Provide any personal or financial information to the sender.
